James BostShapardResearch Acquires Insight Market Research & Consulting
Joined together, both companies create Oklahoma’s largest and most comprehensive research firm. Oklahoma City, OK April 15, 2009 - ShapardResearch and Insight Market Research and Consulting have joined together to create Oklahoma’s most comprehensive research firms, announced Bill Shapard, CEO of ShapardResearch. After ShapardResearch’s acquisition of Insight, Shapard Research will become Oklahoma’s largest market research provider with clients in nearly every state and an average of 55 employees in any given month based on work load. James Bost, owner of Insight Market Research and Consulting, will become Senior Vice President of ShapardResearch and responsible for new client acquisition, as well as all qualitative research initiatives.

Insight’s primary focus has been in media research with a strong emphasis in newspaper readership research. Bost started his own market research firm in 1993 while he was an associate professor of marketing at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He moved his business to Oklahoma in 1995 and has been involved in the research industry ever since. In 1999, he became Director of Consumer Data Service, the market research division of the Oklahoma Press Association which had been in existence since 1976. Bost purchased assets from that department in 2002 and re-launched the organization as Insight Market Research & Consulting.

Bost is best known for his skills as a qualitative researcher as he is a Certified Focus Group Moderator who has directed over 300 focus groups in the past 20 years. He has an undergraduate degree in marketing from Oklahoma State University where he also completed all coursework in a Ph.D. program in marketing.

ShapardResearch is a full service research firm based in Oklahoma City, conducting all of our own data collection in house and utilizing relational database architecture as few national research companies can. Shapard Research’s latest development is its CLM system, or Customer Loyalty Management, a cutting-edge, real time delivery of market research intelligence that blends relational databasing with web publishing and solid data collection methodologies.
